It was a fantastic weekend. Words can't even describe how happy I am to have Harry home. He is all grown up and wise beyond his years. I'm going to miss him while he's away at school, but he's going to love taking this next step in his life.

As for Chad & I, we want to wish everybody the very Merriest Christmas!!! May your time with loved ones be well spent, and remember the reason we celebrate Christmas.

RICHMOND!!!

You guys, I'm so sorry for the absence. It has been one heck of a time trying to get things together for Tara's wedding, Beth's farewell, packing, moving, driving, unpacking, starting grad school (yes, already) and job hunting. 

I don't even know where to begin. Richmond is AHHHHHMAZING! Aside from the humid HOT (I mean Satan's lair hot) days, it is beautiful. The scenery is green and full of trees, not like Oregon trees, these are Virginia trees.

Our apartment is the cutest 2 bedroom, 2 bath, third floor thing you've ever seen. Chad has been hard at work refinishing old furniture we picked up for dirt cheap on Craigslist. The only issue I've had is getting lost on a daily basis. The dang interstate here is like a maze.

I'm already head first into my program and I LOVE IT! I LOVE my cohort, I'm the only one who is LDS and it's really fun. I've already talked to people about the church and the purpose of temples and how Harry is on a mission. My cohort thought it was MIND BOGGLING that young men and women go serve, but they were really impressed and wanted to know more. 

Also, our ward is FANTASTIC! Seriously you guys, 110% different from P-town. We walked in and everyone was so nice, came and talked to us, we even got invited to dinner with this awesome couple. 

Chad and I are so happy to be here, and things are really working out for us. I'm still on the job hunt, I've had some interviews, here's to hoping.

Exciting News !!!

I got accepted into VCU's master's program for strategic public relations!!! I start July 19th.

 It all happened in a whirlwind of two weeks. I'm offering this as an explanation for everyone who has tried to get in contact with me, I've been living at the Brimhall studying for the GRE. 

I don't advise opening a GRE study book for the first time and taking the actual test all within a week and a half. But, if you find yourself in that situation here are some tips that might help.

Have plenty of food:

Have plenty of motivation:

Oh and the most important thing of all is have a husband who does all of the above FOR YOU. During the hectic week and a half Chad has been nothing but patient and understanding. 

Everyday he packed me lunches and dinners so I could go to campus and study un-interrupted. 

He secretly took my extremely dirty car and hand detailed and washed it, then parked in the same spot for quite the surprise when I finished studying that day.

He wrote me the most encouraging notes.

He even tested his patience and love for me by tutoring me in math.

There is absolutely no way I could have done all of this without Chad. I'm so lucky to have a husband who is supportive of me, no matter how crazy the idea. This goes without saying, but I love you Chad, more than anything. I'm biased but you are the most incredible husband ever. 

Now there are two Spencers taking over VCU ...
